day, Goddess Lakshmi emerged from the ocean along with other treasures amidst

For most people, Dhanteras is the

King Hima had a son who was 16 years
old. As per predictions, he would die on the fourth night after his marriage.
His bride gave deep thought and, on the expected night, put gold and silver
ornaments on a heap near the husband’s bedroom and lighted many lamps. Legend
says that the Lord of Death, Yama came to earth in the form snake to bite and
kill the Prince.
However, he was attracted by the heap
of gold and was enchanted by the young bride singing and telling stories, thus
forgetting time. Hence, when it was morning, he realized that the predicted
time to kill the Prince was gone, so he flattered away.

Dhanteras is on 2nd November that starts after sunset and lasts for

Here is How the Dhanatrayodashi Puja
is Performed
A Dhanatrayodashi is performed during
the later part of the day. People offer crisp blossoms, prasad, and wheat. With
the use of vermillion, little footprints of Goddess Lakshmi are made near the
house entrance.
In addition, several individuals take
out their gold and silver assets from their locker and clean it with nectar,
holy water, curd, and drain. Also, it’s the day when many tend to purchase gold
and costly assets. After everything, the aarti concludes the day.

Stotra.

Dhanwantari and white ones to Lord Kubera. Worship Goddess Lakshmi and Lord

Worship Goddess Lakshmi at Your House in This Way
Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped on
Dhanteras during the Pradosh Kaal, the time when the sunset lasts for about two
and a half years. Before starting the ritual, take a piece of new cloth and
spread it with a handful of grains on the middle of it. Ensure to spread the
cloth on a raised platform.
Bring a glass (kalash) half-filled
with holy water, betel nut, flowers, coins, and some rice grains. You can also
immerse mango leaves on the kalash. The idol of Lord Ganesha is also kept, and
businessmen keep their important books in front of Goddess Lakshmi.
One worships three forms of the
Goddess, MahaLakshmi, Maha Kaali, and Goddess Saraswati during the puja. Lord
Kuber and Ganesha represent wealth, serenity, education, and peace.

wealth, mortgage holders clean their houses. It is said that the Goddess visits
